it is what it is

welcome to reality. if you lived here, you’d be home now.

My brain, heart, and soul didn’t deceive me, either.

Dispatch from the road:

Meeting came much faster than I’d originally planned — Thursday afternoon in Santa Fe.

All is well, and I’m very happy — and laughing that a short time ago I questioned whether I was capable of feeling anything. To keep it simple, I will be seeing a lot of this man for a very long time to come.

    YES!
Love it when people I like are happy!

This is fun. It’s been a long time, but I remember those giddy feelings of possibility and anticipation. When I started seeing my wife, I had just gotten accustomed to the idea of a life of singleness. Funny how that works.

Anyway, thanks for letting me vicariously relive those feelings a little. I’m happy that you’re happy.

I knew that once you opened yourself to the Universe as being ready and willing to jump into that deep end, that the Universe would bring what you needed. I’m so thrilled. But i’m afraid i’ll have lost my hiking buddy. Eh. Its for a very good reason ;)

Yay! I second what everybody else has said. I’m happy for you; enjoy this time–it’s part of the fun of the relationship.

It’s great to hear the wonderful news! It sounds like you two are off to an amazing start. While I second Joy’s worries about losing a hiking partner, I have heard that it’s possible to hike and have a relationship at the same time, though I have no first-hand experience in making that work :)

Thanks, everyone! It’s the end of the (long, long, but still too short) weekend now, and I’m wondering how long it will take to move to Santa Fe. Yes, it’s that good and that right.

I’m a very lucky girl. But then, he’s a really lucky guy.
