HOPE = VOTE

February 4th, 2008

On the eve of my primary, this seems entirely appropriate.

Miscellanea:

The return of my lost posts is coming soon, thanks to Kate who found the text of them via bloglines (whew).

We’re somewhere in the middle of moving, spending our third night up in Los Alamos tonight, but with piles o’ stuff to still move from Santa Fe over the coming weekend. At least we did our truck/furniture moving on Saturday, when the sun was shining. Since then, about a foot of snow has fallen!

During today’s visit with my midwife, she estimated that baby boy is probably about 6-1/2 pounds by now. Get that? 5 weeks before his “due date,” he weighs more than Maya did at birth. Stretchhhhhhhhhhhhh.

    Caroline & I just watched the video & she asked what it was about. I told her it was about who our next leader should be and whether we want things to be different or the same. She said she thinks “daddy” should be our next leader:P

    Hope your midwife is overestimating - but then - a chunky baby doesn’t necessarily equal huge head & shoulders!

    YEAH! I have never been so excited about politics in all of my life. Of course, I am fairly young, but I feel so happy that I got to vote for someone truly amazing in my first-ever primary election (I was too young to vote during the primaries in 2004). I set my alarm clock to 6:30 a.m. so I could be there to vote at 7:00 a.m. I had to do a presentation on Hillary Clinton that morning, but I ultimately chose to go with Obama because, well, I don’t exactly trust Hillary anymore. I pray that he wins Texas and other states in upcoming primaries.
